For the last 20 years, Mr. Bayer has assisted many families with their estate planning needs. The focus is on setting up documents to provide proper care givers for elderly persons with diminished capacity and estate planning that allows clients to avoid probate. The decision making documents include health care and financial powers of attorneys and living wills.

On the estate planning side, Mr. Bayer consults with clients on how to avoid probate by properly titling investments and financial accounts. Consultations include discussions on whether to utilize last wills and testaments or revocable trusts to best accomplish the client's needs. Another area of estate planning includes a discussion about life estate or lady bird deeds to allow real estate to be passed to beneficiaries without the need for probate.
