Environmental / Land Use

As a former marine biologist, Dennis Bayer has a long history of environmental advocacy. He prosecuted environmental crimes including the dumping of sewage by Amtrak, illegal hazardous waste dumping and poaching cases.

In private practice, he has assisted environmental groups achieve Outstanding Florida Water designation for the Tomoka River, Spruce Creek and Lake Disston. He served on the Environmental Regulatory Commission in Tallahassee under Governor Chiles and has also served on the environmental land acquisition committees for Volusia and Flagler counties.

His current practice includes private land owners, neighborhood groups and individuals dealing with zoning and land use issues throughout north central Florida.
